The rule, printed because we mean it: we say replace when the repair midpoint is 60% or more of a comparable new unit — or when the machine is ten-plus years old and the midpoint is 40% or more. Otherwise we fix it. A $390 bearing job on a twelve-year-old washer is our profit and your bad deal.
Credited in full against the repair when you go ahead — you pay to find out or to fix it, never both. The callout stands only when you decline the repair, or when we call it not worth fixing. Common parts for the big brands ride in the van; oddball parts are ordered overnight — and if a part's discontinued we say "replace" and don't charge you for the funeral.

Most common faults land between $170 and $620 all-in — parts, labour, GST, with the $129 callout absorbed when you proceed. The adviser above shows the honest range per fault; we confirm the figure at your bench before touching a screwdriver, and the invoice matches it.
Is it worth repairing, or should I just replace it?
We use one rule and we'll show you the maths: replace when the repair midpoint is 60% or more of a comparable new unit, or when the machine is ten-plus years old and it's 40% or more. Otherwise repair wins. We fix machines for a living and we'll still tell you when the maths says don't.
How fast can you come?
Most metro jobs are seen inside three working days. A dead fridge or a café cool-room jumps the queue — say so on the phone and we'll triage honestly.
Do you carry parts?
Common parts for the big brands — seals, pumps, elements, belts — ride in the van, so most jobs finish on the first visit. Oddball parts are ordered overnight. If a part's discontinued, we say "replace" and don't charge you for the funeral.
Is my appliance too old to fix?
Age alone doesn't retire a machine — at ten years the maths changes, because the next fault is usually queued behind this one. A cheap fix on an old unit can still be the right call; a dear one usually isn't. The adviser above runs exactly that rule.
My appliance is under warranty — can you do the work?
Manufacturer warranty goes back to the manufacturer's authorised agent — that's their job and their cost, not yours or ours. Tell us the model and age on the phone and we'll say so before you pay us for their work.
