Battery & drain diagnostics
$120 — credited against the repair
Parasitic drain traced to its circuit, battery and charging tested under load. When we do the repair the same day, the $120 comes straight off the bill.
Wangara workshop · mobile metro-wide
Dual batteries, light bars, trailer wiring and the drains nobody can find. Book the workshop bench or have the van come to you — every job fused, labelled and load-tested before the keys come back.
The Circuit Map
Tap an install — its circuit lights up, the price follows.
Diagnostic credited against today's work — saves $120.
Full rewires, restorations and fault-chasing beyond the drain check are quoted after we've had the dash apart — old looms keep their secrets until then. Light bar price is fit-up of your lights; supply quoted separately.
Workshop rates, stated up front. Everything leaves fused, labelled and load-tested — the multimeter never lies, and neither do we about what it found.

Demonstration reviews, written for this demo — but this is the work they'd describe.
★★★★★
"The ute went flat every second night for a month. Currentline traced it to the glovebox light in under an hour — charged the $120 diagnostic, then credited it when they fixed the switch. Drain's gone."
★★★★★
"Dual battery and DC-DC in before touring season. The fridge ran a full week at Cape Range and the start battery never dropped a volt. Wiring's labelled like a switchboard."
★★★★★
"Rang Tuesday, trailer wired Wednesday afternoon — the day before we left for Karijini. Tested every pin on the plug in front of me before he'd take payment."
The workshop lives in Wangara's industrial strip — easy off Ocean Reef Road, coffee within walking distance while you wait. Can't come to us? The mobile van carries the same test gear and most common stock, metro-wide for a $90 call-out on top of the job.
Because something small is still awake — a boot light, a stuck relay, an aftermarket unit that never sleeps. The $120 drain check clamps a meter on the battery and pulls fuses until the culprit circuit shows itself. We tell you which circuit, what it's drawing, and what the fix costs — and the $120 comes off that fix.
Either. The $340 fit-up is for lights you supply — our switched loom, relay and fused feed. If you'd rather we supply, we'll quote lamps we're happy to put our name on, separately and in writing.
Most of a day, done properly. Tray fabrication, cable runs sized to the load, an isolator that actually isolates, and a load test before the keys come back. Drop the ute at 7am, collect by close.
No — fitted to standard, they don't. We wire to the manufacturer's specifications with fused, labelled circuits, and your dealer can see exactly what was done. Australian consumer law protects properly fitted accessories.
Because we'd be guessing, and we don't guess out loud. A forty-year-old loom can be one chafed wire or a whole harness — we quote after we've had the dash apart and can see the copper. The look-in is charged as the $120 diagnostic, credited if we do the work.
Tell us the vehicle and what it's doing (or what you'd like fitted) — we'd call you back within one business hour to lock in a bay time. Faster to talk? The phone works too.
