The legal part, plainly
“One month before. That’s the Marriage Act, not our policy.”
The Notice of Intended Marriage lodges at least one month and at most 18 months before your day. We lodge it together at the first meeting — the one-month clock is the first date we protect.
The official marriage certificate fee is set by WA’s Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages and paid at registration — we show you the current fee sheet when we lodge rather than guess it here.
Every beach ceremony carries a wet-weather call time and a backup we’ve actually seen. The plan B is part of the runsheet, not a panic.
Couples, afterwards
Our guests thought the ceremony was written by someone who’d known us for years. It was — by then.

Where we celebrate
Based in Fremantle, celebrating down the whole south-west — beaches, wineries, backyards and jetties. First light and last light are the hours the coast does its best work.
Fremantle to Margaret River is home ground. Past Bunbury adds a travel figure we quote exactly, not a surprise.
Questions couples actually ask
Legals-only is $450, a classic ceremony is $900 and bespoke is $1,350 — add a rehearsal ($150), a unity ritual ($80) or the PA & signing table ($90) and that’s the whole bill. The builder above does the maths live: classic with a rehearsal and the PA comes to $1,140. No booking fees, no surprises at the invoice.
A Notice of Intended Marriage lodged at least one month before the day, two witnesses over 18, and a short set of words the Marriage Act requires each of you to say. Everything else — the story, the vows, the ritual — is yours. We handle the lodgement, the declaration and the certificates.
Popular dates — summer Saturdays, first light on a long weekend — go a year out. The legal minimum is one month. Both are true, so check your date early and we’ll hold it while you sort the venue.
Yes — the Act’s words are two sentences, and the rest is yours. Bespoke couples get a vow workshop; classic couples get honest editing and a nerve-proof card to hold on the day.
Fremantle to Margaret River — beaches, wineries and everything between. Past Bunbury adds a travel figure we quote exactly, not a surprise, and it’s on the agreement before you sign.
Every outdoor ceremony carries a wet-weather call time — a named hour when we make the call together — and a backup location we’ve actually seen. The plan B is written into the runsheet, so if the sky turns it’s a change of address, not a change of wedding.
Check your date
Tell us the date and the place — or that you don’t have either yet. We’d come back within one business day with the date held or honest alternatives.
by appointment · seven days · first light onwards
We’d call you back within one business day to talk the date, the venue and the runsheet — and if the date’s free, we’d pencil it while we talk.
This is a demonstration page, so no enquiry was actually sent — but this is exactly the confirmation your couples would see.
