We dig up the club records of 1999–2003 — trance white labels, 2‑step promos, filter‑house CD‑Rs — transfer them flat from the earliest source we can find, and cut them loud again. The future sounded like this once.

The future
looked like
chrome.
Between the millennium bug and the first iPod ad, club music believed in the future so hard it turned reflective. Chrome Dreams exists to keep that belief audible. We don't do irony and we don't do nostalgia edits — we do flat transfers, honest lacquers and sleeve notes with dates in them. If a record made a room lose its mind in Rimini, Helsinki or Romford, it deserves better than a 128 kbps rip on a dead forum.
How a reissue happens
Three steps, no shortcuts. Each one has ruined at least one of our holidays.
Dig
Every reissue starts as a rumour: a promo that never shipped, a DAT in a divorced DJ's garage, a track ID argued about for twenty years. We chase masters, not MP3s — if the source is a rip, we walk away.
Transfer
Flat, at 96 kHz, on machines older than the music. No de‑noising, no "fixing" the 1999 out of it. The hiss is load‑bearing. Clicks get repaired by hand, one at a time, with the waveform at full zoom.
Cut
Mastered for club systems first, headphones second. Wide where the original was wide, loud where it earned it. Then lacquer, test pressing, and one long night on a proper soundsystem before we say yes. Every sleeve lists its source and its transfer date.
