Log-book honesty: in WA, an hour with an instructor counts as one hour in the log book — there's no 3-for-1 multiplier here like some eastern states. What you're buying is skill and calm, not log-book arithmetic — and we'll say that plainly.

    Since 2015

A decade of first lessons in the south-east — thousands of log-book hours taught one honest hour at a time.

    Licensed & checked

Every instructor holds a WA driving instructor's licence and a Working With Children Check — card numbers on the receipt. DI 0000 · WWC 0000000

    Dual controls, every car

The brake on my side means the mistake on yours is safe to make.

    Patience, by policy

We don't shout, we don't sigh. A nervous driver taught kindly becomes a safe one — taught harshly, they just become quiet.

    Lessons & packs, priced plainly

No call-out fees, no joining fees — the price is the price, and pick-up and drop-off inside the service area is included in every lesson.

    Driving lessons

    from $80

60 minutes behind the wheel — not 45 with a chat. Picked up from home, school or work, every hour logged 1:1.

    5-lesson pack

    $380 · $76 a lesson

The first-lessons block: controls, car parks, quiet streets — and an honest reassessment at lesson five.

    10-lesson pack

    $740 · $74 a lesson

The building block: lane changes, roundabouts, right turns at lights — spread across your private practice hours.

    Manual lessons

    from $85

+$5 a lesson for the clutch's sake (packs +$25 / +$50). Learn auto unless your work needs manual — we'll say so.

    Practical test package

    $170

45-minute warm-up, the school car for the practical driving assessment, and a drop-back after. The DoT booking fee is yours, paid to them.

    Overseas licence conversion

    from $80

Same meter, different starting point — the first lesson is an honest assessment, and some drivers need two lessons, not twenty; we'll say which you are.

    Nervous-driver refreshers

    from $80

Same meter, stated plainly. Years off the road, a freeway you've been avoiding — patient is the whole product.

From our learners — and their parents

"Supervising got easier after lesson three, because the kid came home with a plan, not just kilometres. I knew what to practise and what to leave to the instructor."
    PARENT OF A LEARNER — THORNLIE · 5-LESSON PACK
"Passed first go on the Cannington route we'd driven eleven times. Walking into the test centre knowing the roundabout by name is a different kind of calm."
    L.T. — BENTLEY · 10-PACK + TEST PACKAGE
"Back on the freeway after nine years, in four lessons. Nobody sighed once, which is more than I can say for my family."

A few suburbs past the edge? Ask — usually it's a yes with a few minutes' notice built in, and we'll say so before you book, not after.

    Call us: (08) 9000 0263 — a real instructor answers, Monday to Saturday, 7am–7pm.

Tell us where you're starting from — zero hours, an overseas licence, or years off the road — and we'll match you with the instructor who suits, not just the next free slot.

    Asked from the passenger seat

How many lessons will I need?

The honest answer is it depends — zero-to-test averages 8–12 lessons alongside private practice, and we reassess every five. The planner above is the logic we actually use: first lessons set the habits, building hours spread lessons across your private practice, and test-ready hours should be spent on test routes and parking, not laps.

Do instructor hours count extra in WA?

No — in WA an hour with an instructor counts as one hour in the log book. Some eastern states run a 3-for-1 multiplier; WA doesn't, and we won't pretend otherwise. What a lesson buys is skill and calm — the habits your supervisor then gets to reinforce instead of untangle.

    Auto or manual?

Learn auto unless your work needs manual — utes, trucks, farm gear. That's the honest 2026 answer: most cars you'll drive are autos, and you can add a manual assessment later. Manual lessons run +$5 for the clutch's sake.

What car is the test in?

The school car you learned in — that's the test package: a 45-minute warm-up, the car for the practical driving assessment, and a drop-back after, for $170. The DoT booking fee is yours, paid to them — and we'll help you pick a centre with honest wait times.

    Do you cover my suburb?

Cannington out through the south-east corridor — East Victoria Park to Gosnells, Riverton to Maddington — with pick-up from home, school or work inside the lesson price. A few suburbs past the edge is usually a yes with notice; we'll say so before you book.

How do I get my learner's permit first?

Through the Department of Transport: pass the road rules theory test at a DoT centre, and you're issued your learner's permit and log book. Then the 50 supervised hours begin — that's where we come in. We'll happily talk you through the steps on the phone before you've sat any test at all.
