Charged overnight, off your own switchboard. We supply, install, test and certify 7 kW and 22 kW home chargers — cable run, switchboard work and solar diversion priced before we knock.
A 7 kW charger adds ~40 km of range an hour — plugged in at 9pm, full by morning.
Charger
Three-phase homes only — we confirm at the site check.
Extra cable run
First 5 m included in the price. $38 per extra metre — same metre rate at either charger.
Runs past 25 m total get quoted on-site — that's a longer story than a stepper.

Older boards weren't built for a car. RCBO protection plus load management so the charger and the oven never argue.

“Six months of queueing at the shopping-centre chargers with the Model Y. Ampline had the 7 kW unit on the garage wall by lunch, and I haven't seen that car park since. It just charges while we sleep.”Marcus T · Currambine 7 kW install
“Our 1978 switchboard still had ceramic fuses. They upgraded the board, added the load management, and talked us out of the 22 kW we didn't need — the honesty sold us more than the price.”Lyn & Peter H · Duncraig 7 kW + switchboard
“The solar diversion is the party trick. On a clear day the Kona is charged by lunch on nothing but the roof. The app shows the sun doing the work — my power bill barely noticed the car.”Sarah K · Padbury 7 kW + solar diversion

Service area
Northern corridor to the Rockingham line — if you're in the Perth metro area, we'll get the van to you. Most installs are booked within the week.
Same install price metro-wide. The only thing that changes with your address is how early we leave the depot — the cable run and the switchboard decide the rest, and the Charge Fit above prices both before we knock.
Outside the metro? Ask anyway — we run a country loop every few weeks for grouped installs.
Straight answers
Honestly — no. A 22 kW charger needs three-phase power, and most Perth homes are single-phase. We check what's coming into your meter box at the site visit before you spend a dollar. And even on three-phase, your car's on-board AC charger sets the real ceiling — many cap at 7–11 kW, and we'll tell you yours.
That's exactly what the switchboard upgrade line is for — RCBO protection and load management so the charger backs off when the oven, aircon and pool pump pile on. We check the board first on every job; if yours is fine as-is, we'll say so.
Half a day, most homes. Longer cable runs or a switchboard upgrade can stretch it to a full day. You'll get a testing walkthrough and the certificate of compliance before the van leaves.
With the solar diversion module, yes — when the sun's out, it steers excess generation into the car instead of the grid. On a clear Perth day that's genuinely free driving. Without the module the charger simply draws from the grid like any appliance.
No — it's electrical work under your own roof, done by a licensed contractor, tested and certified. The exception is strata buildings, where the by-laws and metering need a walk-through first — that's why strata installs are quoted after it.
