Panelcraft Fencing (08) 9000 0248
Butler · Perth's northern corridor

Colorbond, timber & pool fencing — panel by panel, post by post.

Per-metre quotes that say exactly what's included — posts, rails, concrete and clean-up, in writing. Dividing fence? We quote the whole job and print both halves, so the neighbour conversation is the easy part.

The Fence Line Builder

Drag your boundary length, pick a material, add gates — the run draws itself panel by panel and the estimate prints like the quote would. Shared boundary? Flip the toggle and we print both halves.

Boundary

What we build, and what it costs

Every per-metre rate includes posts, rails, concrete and clean-up. If a quote is $70 a metre, something on that list isn't in it.

Colorbond fencing

from $95/lm supplied + installed

1.8 m, standard colours. Posts, rails, concrete and clean-up included — the rate is the whole job, not the sheet price.

Timber picket

from $185/lm

Hardwood pickets, primed or oiled, on treated rails. The street-front fence that suits a character block.

Slat fencing

from $260/lm

Powder-coated aluminium slats, set gaps, no warping. The clean horizontal line for a front boundary or screen.

Pool fencing

from $290/lm

Semi-frameless glass on spigots. Glass heights, gaps and gate closers are WA pool barrier rules — we build to pass your shire's inspection and say so in writing.

Gates

from $380 · pool-compliant self-closing from $520

Matching gates hung level and latched properly. Pool gates self-close and self-latch from any position — that's the rule, and we test it in front of you.

Retaining — the honest line

quoted after we've seen it

Under 500 mm we do it with the fence. Over that is an engineered wall, not a fencing job — we'll say which yours is before anyone digs.

Minimum job $950 — that's 10 lm of Colorbond. A crew, an auger and concrete turn up whether it's ten metres or sixty.

Why people use us

Registered & insured

Reg. FC0000 · $10M public liability. Fencing Butler and the northern corridor since 2016.

The neighbour letter

We'll draft the half-share letter for you — most fences fail on the conversation, not the posts.

Storm & insurance claims

Insurance fence claims: we photograph, quote it straight, and deal with your assessor.

Built for coastal sand

Coastal sand wants deeper posts — ours go 600 mm, concreted, and we say so on the quote.

Fences that ended arguments

Corner block in the new estate — two boundaries, 46 metres all up. Crew started at seven, string lines everywhere, done and swept by four. The panels don't move an inch in the sea breeze. Corner block, Alkimos — Colorbond, one day
Our old fence was leaning into next door's yard and nobody wanted the phone call. Panelcraft printed both halves on one quote and drafted the letter. We split it without an argument — signed in a week. Dividing fence, Merriwa — halves printed, letter drafted
Pool inspection was booked before the glass was even ordered, which terrified me. They measured the gaps and the gate closer against the barrier rules and put it in writing. Passed first visit. Pool barrier, Butler — passed inspection first visit

The questions every fence starts with

Who pays for a dividing fence?

In WA, a dividing fence between two properties is normally split 50/50 under the Dividing Fences Act — each owner pays half of a "sufficient fence". We quote the whole job and print both shares on the one page, and we'll draft the contribution letter for your neighbour. Gates, front fencing and pool barriers aren't dividing fences — those stay yours.

What's actually included in the per-metre rate?

Posts, rails, panels, concrete for every post hole, and clean-up — old fence carted away if that's the job. That full list is why our Colorbond starts at $95 a metre and the minimum job is $950. If someone quotes $70 a metre, ask which of those things isn't in it.

How long does a fence take?

A standard side boundary — around 24 metres of Colorbond — is a day: posts and concrete in the morning, panels after lunch, swept by knock-off. Timber and glass run longer because of finishing and glazing hardware; we give you the day count on the quote, not a "we'll see".

Do you handle the neighbour letter?

Yes. We draft a plain-English half-share letter with the quote attached — what's being built, what it costs, what their half is. Most neighbours sign within the week once the numbers are printed instead of guessed. If it stalls, the Act sets out a formal notice process and we'll point you to it honestly.

What about our sand? Do posts hold?

Coastal sand wants deeper posts — ours are set 600 mm and concreted, every post, and we say so on the quote. That's the difference between a fence that shrugs off a southerly and one that leans by Christmas.

When can pool fencing pass inspection?

When it meets the WA pool barrier rules: glass height, ground clearance, gap widths, non-climbable zones, and a gate that self-closes and self-latches from any position. We build to those numbers, test the gate in front of you, and state compliance in writing — so your shire's inspector is confirming, not discovering.
