What people ask us
How long does a new door take to install?
A straight swap — old door off, new sectional or roller on — is half a day, and we take the old door away. New openings or custom widths run longer because we're framing and flashing as well; you'll get the timing with the quote after the measure.
Can you reuse my existing opener?
Often, yes. If it's under about ten years old, runs a compatible rail and passes a force-limit test at the measure, we'll rehang it and say so on the quote. If it fails the test we'll tell you why — a new opener supplied and fitted starts at $520.
My spring's broken — can I fix it myself?
Please don't. Torsion springs are wound under serious load, and letting one off without the right bars and training is how hands get broken. Leave the winding cones alone, keep the door down, and call the breakdown line — spring replacement starts at $290 and we re-tension to your door's actual weight, not a chart guess.
Can you match my roof and fence colours?
The powder-coat range covers the popular Colorbond-style colours — bring the name of your roof or fence colour to the measure and we'll put the nearest match on the quote, with a sample chip to check in your own light. Timber-look laminate faces are also available on sectional panels.
How often should a door be serviced?
Every 12–18 months. A service is $160 flat: spring tension, cables, rollers, hinges, and the opener's force limits. Most of the breakdowns we attend are doors that haven't been touched in five years — the $160 is cheaper than the 6 am phone call.
What happens at a measure and quote?
Twenty minutes at your place: we measure the opening, headroom and side-room, check power for the opener, and talk through profile and colour with sample chips. The written quote lands the same day — it's the configurator on this page with your real numbers in it.
