Window re-glazing
from $190
4 mm float up to 0.5 m², beaded or puttied, measured and fitted the same visit. Most lounge-window jobs land here.
Glaziers · Osborne Park
Window re-glazing, shower screens, splashbacks and board-ups across Osborne Park and Perth's inner north. Measured on the first visit, cut on the line, fitted to AS 1288.
AS 1288 & AS 2047 compliant Since 2012 $10M public liability
Photograph the glass before we board it — your insurer will ask. Non-urgent police reports go to 131 444 or WA Police online reporting. Glass is quoted and fitted next visit; the board-up makes you safe tonight.
Board-ups $160 day · $240 after-hours
The honest ballpark
Size the pane, pick the glass, read the number. The same-day measure confirms it before anything is cut — glass is priced on the rack rate, not the panic.
Estimates are fit fee + glass rate × area, with a 0.5 m² minimum billable pane — that's why small panes read as "from" prices. Access, timber-bead restoration and second-storey work are confirmed at the measure.
What we glaze
Every "from" is a real job we do at that number — not a phone-lure. What moves a price is written on the card.
from $190
4 mm float up to 0.5 m², beaded or puttied, measured and fitted the same visit. Most lounge-window jobs land here.
from $280 · $320/m²
Doors, sidelights and anything glazed below 500 mm is safety glass under AS 1288 — we'll tell you which panes the code owns.
$160 day · $240 after-hours
The board-up makes you safe tonight. Glass is quoted and fitted next visit — no 2am upselling.
semi-frameless from $680 · frameless from $1,250
Priced by configuration, not area — the measure is free. Toughened by code, hinges that don't drop.
from $420/m²
Toughened, painted to your colour, polished edges. Power-point cutouts are part of the measure, not a surprise.
re-glaze + rollers from $340
If the panel's coming out, the rollers and track get done while it's off. Doors run safety glass — the code, not our preference.
from $390
A new toughened pane with the flap factory-cut. You can't cut a hole in toughened glass after the fact — anyone who says otherwise is about to sell you a cracked pane.
measure first
Retrofit double glazing is real, but it's a frame conversation, not a pane swap. We'll tell you if your frames can take it.
Every install to AS 1288 (glass in buildings) and AS 2047 (windows) — and we'll show you which clause made a pane "safety".
Fourteen years of inner-north mornings: board-ups at seven, measures by nine, panes in before school pickup.
Insured for the work and careful enough that it's never mattered. Certificates on request.
Itemised, photographed, standard-referenced. Most home policies include glass cover — we make the claim easy to say yes to.
Word of mouth
Back door glass gone at 6am after a break-in. Called at seven, boarded by nine, new toughened pane in on Thursday. He told us to photograph everything before he touched it — the insurer asked for exactly those photos.
Frameless screen in the ensuite. The tiler asked who did the glass, which I'm told is the trade's version of a standing ovation.
Compliance letter flagged five doors with old float glass. All five swapped to safety glass in one day, invoiced the way my property manager wanted it. Tenants barely noticed.
Reviews are demonstration copy — this is a fictional business (see footer).
Where we work
Based off Main Street, Osborne Park — most measures are inside twenty minutes. Same-day measures inside the ring; board-ups metro-wide, every night.
Straight answers
Float glass: usually same or next day — common sizes are cut in the workshop from stock. Toughened is cut to order (2–4 working days), because toughened glass can't be trimmed after toughening — it's made to your measure. If the opening isn't safe to leave, we board it the same day and the board-up fee comes off nothing — it's its own honest job.
AS 1288 is the Australian standard for glass in buildings, and it's blunt: doors, panels beside doors, bathrooms, and anything glazed below 500 mm off the floor must be Grade A safety glass — toughened or laminated. Ordinary float in those spots is what compliance letters are about. We'll walk the house and tell you which panes the code owns before we quote anything.
Semi-frameless from $680, frameless from $1,250. What moves it: overall width, whether there's a return panel, hinged versus sliding, and how true your walls are (out-of-plumb walls mean custom-scribed panels). Screens are priced by configuration, not area — which is why the estimator won't guess one, and why the measure is free.
Most home policies include glass cover — check yours for "glass breakage". We invoice the way assessors like: itemised, photographed, with the standard referenced. For break-ins, photograph the damage before the board-up and report to WA Police (131 444 non-urgent, or online) — the report number is the first thing your insurer asks for.
Close is usually achievable; identical depends on the era. Patterns leave the market — some 70s and 80s textures simply aren't rolled anymore. Bring a photo, or we'll bring the sample case to the measure and hold it against the neighbouring pane in daylight, which is the only honest way to compare.
Almost always thermal stress: sun heats the middle of the pane while a shaded edge stays cool, and the tension splits it — the giveaway is a crack starting at the edge and wandering in a lazy curve. More common with dark tint films, deep eaves and part-shaded glass. It's not your fault and it's not a defect hunt — but the replacement should be specced for the same sun.
