Kwinana Beach yard since 2009 · 3,800 machines moved · we prepare and lodge the Main Roads WA permit for every oversize or over-mass movement, as part of the job.

quoted on scope
Night moves, shutdown windows, weekend relocations.
Permit preparation and lodgement, route assessment and load restraint are in the movement price — there is no separate paperwork fee on a booked job. Pilot vehicle requirements are set by the permit for your load and route, not by this page.
Three things move the number: the rig, the distance and the pilots.
Totals round to the nearest $10 and cover the loaded leg, restraint, permit lodgement and the driver. Site standby beyond an hour, crane assistance and a return leg are quoted on your job — we put them in writing before you book, never after.

Why supervisors ring us twice
Oversize and over-mass movements in WA run on a Main Roads WA permit. We prepare the application, the route and the load details and lodge it as part of the job. You do not chase it.
You get a movement window with a date and a time band, and a call if anything moves it. Shutdowns run to a plan, so we plan to yours.
Every float reports its position, so “where is it” is a text message with an ETA, not a guess from the yard.
If the machine has to come back, that price is on the same quote. No second conversation once you are committed.
Mass, dimensions, access both ends, your date window.
Route assessed, permit lodged, pilots booked if the permit calls for them.
A fixed price and a movement window in writing, usually inside a business day.
Restrained by our crew, tracked the whole way, unloaded where you want it.
What the sites say
“Jaw crusher out of a shutdown window with two days’ notice. Permit was lodged the same afternoon and the float was on the pad when they said it would be. That never happens.”
Maintenance supervisor · gold processing site, Leonora
“They quoted the return leg with the outbound, which nobody else did. Dozer went out to Merredin and came back on the same paperwork and the same price.”
Workshop manager · earthmoving contractor, Forrestfield
“Our header was wider than the plate said it was. They measured it on the ground, changed the permit and rang me before they loaded, instead of after.”
Farm manager · cropping enterprise, Wongan Hills
Where we run
Everything leaves the Kwinana Beach yard. Metro movements are a day rate to 120 km; past that we bill the loaded kilometres, which is why a Kalgoorlie run and a Kwinana run are priced on different scales.

Asked on every first call
Five things: the mass, the dimensions, the access at both ends, your date window, and whether it drives on or has to be lifted on. With those we can put a fixed price and a movement window in writing. Without the mass and the width we are guessing, and a guess is how movements go wrong.
We do. Oversize and over-mass movements in WA run on a Main Roads WA permit; we prepare the application with the load details and the route and lodge it as part of the job. What the permit requires for your particular load — including pilots — is set by that assessment, and we tell you as soon as we know.
We measure it on the ground before it is loaded. If it does not match what the permit was applied for, we stop, tell you, and vary the application — we do not quietly load it and hope. That call costs an hour; the alternative costs a day and your name on it.
If it drives on, our crew ramps and restrains it. If it needs lifting, we bring the float and coordinate a crane or forks at your end or ours, and that lift appears as its own line on the quote. Restraint is always ours.
We carry public liability and goods-in-transit cover for the machines we move. Tell us the value when you book and we confirm the cover in writing before it is loaded — on a real site we would attach the certificate of currency to the quote.
Metro floats often go the next working day. A permitted country movement depends on how quickly the application comes back, so tell us your window early and we will tell you what is realistic rather than promising a date we cannot hold.
Scope a movement
This is the same list allocations works from. Fill it once and the quote comes back with a price and a movement window, not a request for more detail.
Ironline is not a real business — the page is. The estimate runs on a model written down before a line of code, including the bit most haulage sites get wrong: a country run bills the kilometres or the day rate, whichever is greater, so the price can never fall as the trip gets longer. That is how we would build yours.
