The stone doesn't care what holds it — stone prices hold across every metal.

The halo prices its melee, not your metal — setting prices hold across every combination.

Six things, done in our own workshop on Rokeby Road. If it isn't listed, ask — the answer is usually "yes, bring it in".

Up or down, most rings while you wait. Complex shanks and eternity bands quoted before we touch them.

    Three rings, three stories

Demonstration reviews, written the way our clients actually talk.

"I booked flights before I booked the ring — bad order of operations. Gilt & Grain drew it on a Tuesday and had it finished nine days before we flew. She said yes on a headland in Portugal wearing a ring made in Subiaco."

Marcus, Wembley — proposal ring, 1.00 ct solitaire

"Mum's engagement diamond, Nan's two sapphires, and my own wedding band — all sitting in a drawer for a decade. They remodelled the lot into one ring. Three generations on one hand now, and they never once let the stones out of my sight."

    Helen, Mount Claremont — remodel

"Walked in with a ring that hadn't fitted since my second baby, walked to the café next door, and it was resized before my coffee went cold. Ninety-five dollars and twenty minutes."

Priya, Shenton Park — resize while she waited

    One studio, the whole metro

The workshop lives in Subiaco, a few doors up from the markets. Clients come from across Perth — the bench consult is worth the drive, and resizes are often done while you wait.

    Asked at the bench, weekly

Lab diamond or mined — what's the honest difference?

Chemically and optically, none — a lab diamond is a diamond, and a grader needs instruments to tell them apart. The honest trade-offs: lab prices keep falling as growing capacity expands, so a lab stone is not a store of value and we'll tell you that plainly. A mined stone holds sentiment and scarcity, at several times the price for the same look on the hand. Most of our couples put the difference into the metal or the honeymoon.

How long does a custom ring take?

Honestly: four to six weeks from the design consult to collection. Stone sourcing takes a week or two, then casting, setting, hallmarking and finishing at our own bench. If you have a proposal date, tell us at the consult — we build the schedule backwards from it.

Can you use my old gold?

Yes. We weigh and assay it in front of you and credit it against your new piece at the day's assay price — the rate moves daily, which is why the Ring Bench above shows the credit as a declaration rather than a number. Old family stones can usually be reset too.

What is an insurance valuation actually for?

It's the document your insurer uses to replace the piece properly — current replacement value, photographs, stone specifications. Without one, claims settle on guesswork. Ours are prepared on site for $140, and most insurers want them refreshed every three years.

Do you solder chains and do small repairs?

Yes — chain soldering from $60, and most small repairs are same-week. Clasps, jump rings, worn claws, re-tipping — bring it in and we'll quote it at the counter before any work starts.

    Book a design consult

Forty minutes at the bench with the jeweller who'll make your ring. Bring your ideas, your old gold, or nothing at all — the configuration you've built above comes with you.

We'd call you back within one business day to set a time. Consults are free and never obligate you to anything.
