Before After

Drag, swipe, or use arrow keys. Illustrated scenes — for a real client these would be their own project photography.

Six things we do properly.

Honest anchors, not teaser rates. Every job is quoted from a measured site plan — these are the numbers western-suburbs projects actually land at.

Design consult

Ninety minutes on site with a designer. Levels, soil, sun, drainage — you keep the concept sketch either way.

$220 — credited on build

Full design + build

Concept to completion under one contract: earthworks, stone, timber, planting, lawn, retic and lighting.

Typically $25,000–$80,000

Limestone walls & paving

Reconstituted and natural limestone — retaining, steps, piers and terraces, engineered where height demands it.

Walls from $380/m

Native garden packages

Kangaroo paw, grevillea, banksia and westringia in hydrozoned beds that shrug off February.

$6,500–$18,000

Lawn & reticulation

Kikuyu or buffalo on a graded, ameliorated base, with mains-pressure retic and a Wi-Fi controller.

Lawn from $28/m² · retic from $2,800

Cedar screens & structures

Slatted screening, bin bays and seat walls in dressed cedar — privacy that improves the elevation.

Screening from $340/m

What the neighbours say.

Demonstration reviews, written for this fictional business.

They pulled up half a tonne of dead kikuyu and had the limestone terrace laid inside nine days. The paw flowers came up by October, exactly as the planting plan said they would.
Sarah & Tim M. — City Beach
Our front yard had been pure sand since the reno. The $220 consult was worth it on its own — and the build matched the concept sketch line for line, on the week they said.
Priya N. — Floreat
Lawn, retic and steel edging in a week, and the yard was left broom-clean every evening. They came back unasked a fortnight later to re-aim two sprinkler heads.

Based in Wembley Downs, on the sand we build on.

The coastal plain is our home ground — Spearwood sands, limestone close to the surface, salt wind off the ocean. Every plant list and footing detail is chosen for it. We take on select projects a little further out; ask at your consult.

Fair questions.

Most Tuart & Stone projects land between $25,000 and $80,000 depending on stone, levels and planting density. Single-scope jobs — a lawn and retic, one retaining wall — start around $5,000. You get a fixed, itemised quote from a measured plan before anything is dug.

Yes — $220 for ninety minutes on site with a designer, and the full amount is credited against your build if you go ahead. You keep the concept sketch either way, so the worst case is a very useful drawing.

Design takes three to five weeks; a typical build runs two to six weeks on site. Spring books out early — if you want to be on the new lawn by Christmas, start the design in winter.

They're the only things that love it. Kangaroo paw, coastal banksia and grevillea evolved for exactly this soil. We amend the sand with bentonite and compost, hydrozone the retic so natives aren't overwatered, and the beds look after themselves by year two.

In most western-suburbs councils, walls over 500 mm need engineering and a permit. We handle the drawings, the engineer and the lodgement as part of the build — it's included in the quote, not a surprise extra.

Bring it to the consult — it's the fastest way to show us what you're drawn to. Our job is to translate it honestly: what survives a Perth summer, what suits your levels, and what your budget builds well rather than half-builds.
