    Prices are per cubic metre, GST included, loaded at the Wangara yard. Delivery is charged per tipper load, not per metre — one load carries up to six.

    Brickie's sand

    $48 /m³

    Clean yellow sand for bricklaying, sand pads under a slab, and bedding under paving. The one we shift most of.

    Crushed limestone

    $58 /m³

    Compacts hard and drains. Driveway base, shed pads, retaining backfill and the base under a limestone wall.

    Screened topsoil

    $62 /m³

    Screened loam blended for Perth sand. Lawn prep, garden beds and levelling before turf goes down.

    Jarrah mulch

    Screened and turned on site, so it's coarse enough to stay put on a slope and won't blow off a verge.

    Blue metal 10 mm

    Washed 10 mm aggregate for drainage runs, soakwell surrounds, exposed-aggregate mixes and pipe bedding.

    The fee is per load, so eight metres to Butler is two loads and two fees. Pick-up costs nothing but your time and a trailer that can legally carry it.

    What people ring up and ask

    How much do I actually need?
    Length times width in metres, times the depth in centimetres, divided by 100. A verge 12 m long and 2 m wide at 7 cm of mulch is 12 × 2 × 7 ÷ 100 = 1.68 — call it two metres. Ring us with the numbers before you order and we'll check the sum with you; it costs nothing, and we would rather sell you two metres that work than five that sit on the lawn.
    Can you tip it on my driveway?
    Usually, yes — but we look first. The tipper needs about three metres of clear width to get in and nothing overhead: no low wires, no verandah, no branches you're fond of. A raised body is about four and a half metres tall. Tell us what the drop looks like when you book and we'll say straight away whether it's a driveway job, a verge job, or one for the trailer.
    What if I've only got a small job?
    Delivered orders start at two cubic metres — the truck doesn't leave the yard for less, and that is honest rather than greedy: the run costs the same whether there's one metre on the back or six. Under two metres, either pick it up yourself or get the neighbour in on the same load. Pick-up has no minimum at all.
    Is the mulch weed-free?
    No mulch is guaranteed weed-free and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. Ours is screened, turned and left to heat on site, which kills most seed and is why it comes out of the bay warm. Lay it 75 mm deep — thin mulch is what actually lets weeds through, far more often than the mulch itself.
    Do you deliver on Saturdays?
    The yard is open Saturday morning, 7am to noon, for pick-up. Saturday tipper deliveries run in the northern corridor only and need to be booked by Thursday, because there's one truck out and it fills up fast. Metro Saturday runs we generally can't do — ring and ask, but plan for a Friday afternoon drop.
    Can I bring my own trailer?
    Yes, and plenty do. Just know what it can legally carry: a cubic metre of damp sand runs around 1.5 tonnes, so a standard 6×4 box trailer is full at roughly half a metre — weight, not volume, is what stops you. We'll load to your trailer's plate and not a shovel more, and the weighbridge docket shows exactly what went on.
