Client words

What clients say about the way we work.

"I fly out Wednesdays. They did the whole estate package — will, EPA, EPG — in one Saturday visit, exactly at the price on the website. Signed, witnessed, done before my swing."

Dean · FIFO electrician, Inglewood

"I'd never been an executor before. They walked me through probate stage by stage, told me which fees were the Court's and which were theirs, and answered every anxious email in a day."

Marion · executor, Bayswater

"The $390 first conference was the first hour of the whole separation where I felt like I understood my situation. I left with a plan, not a bill."

Priya · Mount Lawley

Questions we're actually asked

Straight answers, before you book.

A simple will is a fixed $440, mirror wills for a couple $660. If you have a blended family, a business, or want to protect an inheritance for children, you may need a testamentary trust — that's specialist drafting we refer honestly rather than pretend to do cheaply. We'll tell you which you need in the first conversation, before any work.

It's a fixed $390: a full hour with a lawyer on your situation — parenting, property, process. You leave with your options in writing and what each would cost. No obligation to go further; if you do, every next step is scoped and priced first.

Fixed fees for fixed scopes — wills, the first conference, standard probate — agreed in a plain-English costs agreement before any work. Beyond fixed scopes it's $420/hr in 6-minute units, itemised on every invoice. Disbursements (court filing fees, searches) are passed on at cost, never marked up.

Honestly — it depends on the assets. Jointly-held homes and small accounts often pass without a grant; land in the deceased's sole name or larger holdings usually need one. Bring the asset list to a first call and we'll tell you straight if you can skip it — that call costs you nothing.

In a separation, no — and be wary of anyone who says yes. One firm can't advise two people whose interests may conflict. We act for one of you and will suggest independent firms for the other. (Mirror wills for a couple are different: your interests align, so one firm can prepare both.)

Ring Legal Aid WA on 1300 650 579 — for many family and criminal matters it's the honest first call, and we'd rather point you there than run up fees you can't carry. Community legal centres across Perth also give free first advice. If your matter suits a fixed fee, you'll know the full cost here before you commit to anything.
