Capabilities
Six ways through the shop — priced in the open.
Honest anchors, not teasers. Small jobs are welcome; the minimums exist so we can nest, set up and still do them properly.
Laser cutting
Fibre laser to 12 mm mild steel, ±0.2 mm across the bed. Quoted exactly from your DXF — indicative from $3.20/m in 3 mm mild steel.
CNC folding
Press brake with CNC backgauge — repeatable angles across the whole run, folded to your drawing's K-factor or ours.
Welding & assembly
TIG and MIG in mild, stainless and aluminium. Welders qualified to AS/NZS ISO 9606 — ask for the ticket.
Full fabrication
Cut, fold, weld, finish — one job number from drawing to delivery, with a confirmed date on the quote.
Powder coating via partner
We don't coat in-house — our partner does it properly, and we manage it inside your job so it lands finished.
Site measure & shop drawings
We'll measure on site and draw it properly before anything gets cut — the cheap insurance on fit-out work.
Word from the floor
The work speaks. So do the clients.
"Our vendor onboarding usually scares small shops off. Garratt's had the insurances, the weld tickets and the SWMS back to us in a day, and 340 brackets on site in Kalgoorlie a week early. They quote a date and mean it."
— Procurement lead, mining services contractor
"Shopfit deadline moved up ten days and I rang them in a mild panic. They re-nested the counters that afternoon, folded Thursday, and I had powder-coated panels the next Friday. Saved the handover."
— Shopfitter, Perth CBD projects
"We're a two-person product startup doing a 40-unit run. The $180 minimum meant our prototypes weren't treated as a nuisance — third generation walked us through the DXF fixes himself and the folds came back dead on."
— Founder, consumer hardware startup
Demonstration reviews — written for this fictional business to show how real client words would sit on the page.
Service area
Welshpool workshop, metro-wide delivery.
The shop sits in the eastern industrial corridor — Leach, Tonkin and Roe on three sides. Our ute and the courier run the whole metro daily; site measures cover the corridor and the CBD.
