Weight is gain. Width is stereo spread. Optical size is mic distance. Pull the master down and any face falls back to a polite 400 Regular — silence, typographically speaking. Push past 0 dB and the letterforms hit the limiter: values clamp, the CLIP lamp latches, the glass shudders.
Each strip travels 0–100%. The desk stores position, not points — the same move means something different on every face you patch in.
Positions map into each face's real axis range. Fraunces takes weight 100–900; Roboto Flex stretches to 1000 and adds grade. Strips a face doesn't carry go dark — not patched.
The master bus scales every axis's distance from neutral, both decks at once. What you hear on the monitor is what PRINT exports — real CSS, real numbers, nothing rounded away.
