Seated dinners

Marquee, trestle tables and chairs, itemised — tables $16 each (one per eight guests), chairs $4 a seat. Twenty-four guests in the 6×3 lands at $624.
Festoon lighting
+$120–$220 by marquee
Warm brass bulbs swagged across the marquee mouth — $120 on the 6×3, $160 on the 8×4, $220 on the 10×6. Rigged with the marquee, runs off a standard outdoor outlet.
Parquet dance floors
+$380 weekend
A 4×4 m sprung parquet floor, laid level on the lawn. It fits from the 8×4 marquee up — a dance floor won't fit the 6×3.
Winter heaters
+$95 each
Mushroom heaters at the marquee corners — up to four, gas bottles included and swapped full. July birthdays are our busiest strange fact.

What if it rains?
That's why you hired a marquee. Ours are wind-rated, engineered-pegged and weighted — the engagement party in our reviews rode out a sideways squall. If the forecast turns feral we'll talk walls and heaters, but rain on canvas is half the atmosphere.
When do you set up and take down?
Friday delivery, Monday pickup — the weekend's yours. The crew rigs, pegs and weights everything on the Friday run and walks you through the safety card before they leave.
Do I need council approval?
Private backyards, no. Ovals, parks and verges, yes — every council runs its own booking form, so ask yours early. We can supply the engineering certificate most councils want with the application.
What does the $200 bond cover?
Damage beyond party wear — a torn panel, a bent leg, a missing chair. It's refunded at the Monday pickup inspection, and it almost always comes back in full: our gear survives parties for a living.
Can I keep it an extra day?
If the truck's not booked, often yes — Monday-to-Tuesday extensions are usually a small day rate, agreed before the weekend, not sprung after it. Ask when you book.
How much room do I need?
The marquee footprint plus about a metre clear on each side for pegging — so the 6×3 wants roughly 8×5 m of flat lawn, the 8×4 about 10×6 m, and the 10×6 about 12×8 m. Send us a phone photo of the yard if you're not sure.
