Wash & tidy
from $65
Hydrobath, blow-dry, brush-out, nail trim and ear clean. The full freshen-up, no clipping.
small $65 · medium $80 · large $100 · giant $125
Bayswater · Tue–Sat from 8am · one dog at a time
One dog on the table at a time. Warm water, a non-slip mat, and a groomer who kneels down to say hello before reaching for the lead. Wash & tidy from $65 — full grooms from $95.
Puppies price by patience, not kilos — short, sweet, lots of treats.
Puppy coats haven't grown an undercoat yet — deshed comes with the grown-up coat.
Wool coats are sculpture — the extra is time, not attitude.
Real quote, no surprises — matting or heavy undercoat can add time, and we'll always call before it adds dollars. Walk-in nail trims ($20) live outside the planner: no booking needed.
The kind bit
Grooming has a couple of honest rules. We'd rather you hear them from us than learn them at pickup.
A matted coat gets a humane short clip-off, not a two-hour detangle — pulling knots hurts, and we don't hurt dogs. Full-groom price, no lecture, and a brushing plan for the regrow.
We don't shave double coats — a husky's coat is the air-conditioning. The deshed does the job the clippers can't: undercoat out, guard hairs intact, dog cooler for it.
Services & honest prices
Every price below is the same maths the Groom Planner uses: size sets the base, the coat sets the work. No surprise add-ons at pickup.

A full groom plus the $25 wool-coat clip — that's the small full groom at $95 + $25, pure arithmetic. Wool coats are sculpture; the extra is time, not attitude.
+$25 on any full groom · tidies stay standard price
from $90
Wash & tidy plus the $25 deshed — $65 + $25 on a small. Undercoat out with warm water and the right rakes. We never shave a double coat.
+$25 on any groom, any size
$60 flat
Under 6 months. Short, sweet, lots of treats — the first groom decides the next fifty, so this one is priced by patience, not kilos.
flat $60 · any size, any coat
$20
No booking needed — this one lives outside the planner. Tue–Sat, five minutes, done. Bring the dog, keep the lead on.
walk-in only · while you wait
Your dog isn't crated for three hours waiting — we book so the table is theirs. One dog, start to finish.
Seniors get breaks, warm water and a non-slip mat. Arthritis doesn't book appointments; we work around it.
First visits can be half-grooms on purpose — a dog that leaves calm comes back easy.
Groomers certified, dog first-aid current — certificates on the wall, numbers on request.

What owners say (demo reviews, written for this demonstration)
“Millie went in matted — my fault, wet winter — and the matting conversation was the kindest telling-off I've ever had. Short clip, no lecture, a brushing plan taped to the receipt.”Sarah M. · cavoodle · Morley
“One deshed and my car stopped being 40% dog by volume. They talked me out of the shave I asked for and they were right.”Dave R. · german shepherd · Bassendean
“Booked the puppy intro so Biscuit's first groom wouldn't be a drama. He now drags ME through the salon door.”Priya K. · groodle pup · Maylands
Where we are
The salon sits in Bayswater — two minutes off Guildford Road, five off the Tonkin. Most of our regulars come from the suburbs inside the orange ring, but the table doesn't check your postcode.
Street parking at the door, and a shaded tie-up rail if you're early.
Booking
Tell us about the dog — the planner's pick is already in the notes if you used it. We book so the table is theirs.
We'd be in touch within the hour to lock in the slot.
Demonstration page — no booking was sent. The real build would text you back and hold the table.
Questions we actually get
Size sets the base, the coat sets the work. A wash & tidy runs $65 (small) to $125 (giant); full grooms $95 to $185. Curly & wool coats add $25 to a full groom, and the deshed treatment is $25 on anything. So the whole menu sits between a $65 small tidy and a $235 giant wool full groom with deshed — the planner up top does the same maths live.
Honestly: 90 minutes to two and a half hours, by coat. A short-coat tidy is the quick end; a big wool coat in full style is the long end. Because we book one dog at a time, that's your dog's whole slot — not three hours in a crate around a 40-minute groom.
If the coat is matted through, yes — a humane short clip-off, not a two-hour detangle. Pulling knots hurts, and we don't hurt dogs. It's full-groom price, there's no lecture, and you leave with a brushing plan for the regrow. Double coats are different: those we never shave — the deshed does the job the clippers can't.
Yes — with adjustments. Anxious dogs can have a deliberate half-groom first visit, so the salon becomes a place they leave calm. Seniors get breaks, warm water and a non-slip mat, and we'll work around stiff hips rather than through them. Tell us in the booking notes and we'll plan the slot for it.
Every 4–8 weeks, by coat. Wool and curly coats sit at the 4–6 week end or they mat; double coats do best with a deshed each season change; short coats can stretch to 8. If you're six weeks past due, you're our favourite kind of booking — just come in.
The first ten minutes, gladly — then, honestly, most dogs do better without their audience. They watch the door instead of the groomer. There's good coffee two doors down; we'll text you when the blow-dry starts.
