External sand & cement render
from $52/m²
Two coats over brick or blockwork, screeded flat and wood-floated. Paint can't hide anything on a rendered wall, so we don't leave anything.
Maddington · metro-wide · est. 2013
Truelevel runs solid plastering the old way — screeds, straightedges and a snapped chalk line — from Maddington to every corner of the metro. Sand & cement render, acrylic texture and white set, priced by the square metre before we've even had a look.
Est. 2013 Reg. PR0000 10-year workmanship warranty
Pick the finish, set the wall area, watch the coats go on. The figure below pre-fills the enquiry form.
Patch visits are priced by the half day, not the square metre.
Cracks, blown corners, water damage, holes — priced by the visit, not the metre. The half day covers setup, cut-back, patch, set and clean-up.
Estimate only — the written price follows a site look. Whole dollars, GST included. Send it as an enquiry ↓
SCRATCHFLOATSET
Three passes, one flat wall. The scratch coat keys into the brick and takes the comb. The float pass brings the face true against the straightedge. The set coat is the surface you touch — and the only one anyone ever sees.
Square-metre rates for the metered work, honest floors for the rest. Every rate includes labour, materials and the clean-up.

from $86/m²
New render plus a tinted acrylic texture coat. The extra $34 a metre buys flex, colour through the coat, and a face that sheds hairline movement.
from $46/m²
Two-coat hard plaster over brick, set flat enough to take gloss paint with raking light down a hallway.
from $280
Cracks, water damage, hole patching. Half-day visits, feathered to disappear — not to advertise themselves.
minimum job $920
Piers, parapets, front fences, feature walls. Small walls still carry full setup, so the $920 minimum applies — and we say so before we come.
quoted on inspection
Lime plaster and run cornice work is priced after we've seen it — substrate and detail drive it, and guessing helps nobody.
“The front of our 90s red-brick got rendered in two days and the street noticed before the paint even went on. Flat as glass down the side you see from the drive.”
“Laundry flooded in June and half the wall blew. Truelevel cut it back, patched and set it — you cannot find the join. Our painter asked who did it.”
“Owner-building in Southern River. The whole interior was white set in nine days, every corner true. My tiler said it was the best set he'd worked off.”

The yard's in Maddington, so the south-east corridor gets us fastest — but render doesn't care about postcodes and neither do we. North of the river, coast, hills: if the metro map reaches it, we render it.
Sand & cement is the hard, flat base coat — it still needs painting. The acrylic texture coat on top is tinted through, flexes with hairline movement, and gives the wall its finished face straight off the trowel. That's what the $34/m² covers: bare render must be painted; textured render is done.
The scratch coat firms overnight between passes. Fresh sand & cement render wants around 28 days to cure before painting — go earlier and the alkalinity burns the paint film. White set can usually take a low-sheen after about a week. Acrylic texture is the finish, so there's nothing to wait for.
Yes — after mechanical prep. Paint kills the suction render relies on, so we grind or pressure-key the face and apply a bonding slurry before the first coat goes on. If a wall isn't worth rendering, we'll tell you at the site look, not after.
No — that's ours to sort. The +$8/m² double-storey rate covers access, trestles and edge protection. You don't hire anything, and it's on the Reckoner and the written quote as its own line.
A one-metre pier gets the same setup as a whole elevation: floor sheeting, mixing station, clean water, wash-down and waste run. $920 is where a visit stops costing us to do. At 20 m² of white set the metre rate reaches it on its own — from there the metres do the pricing.
Send the wall and we'll come back with a price that holds. The Reckoner's scenario is already filled in below.
