What does the callout fee actually cover?
Getting a licensed plumber and a fully stocked van to your door, diagnosing the problem, and quoting the fix — $99 weekdays 7am–5pm, $249 after-hours, weekends and public holidays. If you go ahead, the work itself is quoted fixed-price before we start. No hourly meter running while we hunt for parts.
How fast can you actually get here?
We're based in Bayswater, so the inner and eastern suburbs usually see us within 45 minutes. Metro-wide, within the hour most nights. Whoever answers gives you a real ETA — and if we're held up on another job, we call you, not the other way round.
Do you charge more at night?
Yes, and we'd rather tell you up front: the after-hours callout is $249 against $99 in business hours, because someone is getting out of bed. The repair itself is priced the same at 2pm or 2am — the callout is the only difference.
Are you licensed for gas work?
Yes — plumbing licence PL0000 and gas-fitting licence GF0000. Every gas job gets a compliance certificate before we leave, and anything we touch is pressure-tested, not just sniff-tested.
Should I turn the water off before you arrive?
If it's a burst — absolutely, and it can save your carpets. Your isolation valve is in the meter box at the front boundary; turn it clockwise until it stops. The emergency triage guide at the top of this page shows you exactly where to look.
Do you guarantee the work?
Twelve months on workmanship for every repair, on top of the manufacturer's warranty on any unit we install. If something we fixed fails, we come back and make it right — no second callout fee.
