The questions every pool buyer asks
Straight answers — the same ones you'd get standing on your block.
How long from deposit to first swim?
Typically 10–14 weeks end to end: permits 2–4 weeks, the dig-and-install week itself (that's the "poured in a week"), then plumbing, fencing certification, handover and the slow first fill. Winter starts usually run the fast end of that range because the approvals queue is shorter.
Do you handle council approval?
Yes — the building permit, engineer's documents and the final barrier certification are all lodged by us and included in the installed price. You sign the paperwork; we do the chasing.
What does WA law say about pool fencing?
The pool cannot legally hold water until a compliant barrier is inspected and certified. Ours is frameless glass at $390 a lineal metre, priced at your shell's fence line — but an existing compliant barrier of yours works just as well. Either way, no barrier, no water: that's the law, and it's a good one.
Fibreglass or concrete — honestly?
Fibreglass is faster (a moulded shell craned in, not months of forming and curing), smoother underfoot, and gentler on chemical use. The trade-off is fixed geometry — you pick from moulded shapes. If your block wants a wet edge, a raw freeform or a lap length past 12 metres, concrete is the right answer and we'll tell you so at the site visit.
Why is winter the smart build window?
Approvals move quicker, cranes and dig crews book easier, and your landscaping has time to knit before the heat. A pool signed in June is swimming by the first hot week of November — sign in November and you're watching everyone else swim while you wait for a dig slot.
What does the 25-year warranty actually cover?
It's the shell manufacturer's structural warranty — the integrity of the fibreglass structure itself, including osmosis protection. It doesn't cover surface wear from neglected water chemistry, and equipment carries its own warranties (heat pumps typically 3–5 years). We put all of it in writing before you pay a deposit.
