The re-sand is why it costs more: joints emptied by the wash must be refilled or the pavers walk. Washed, dried, re-sanded and compacted in one visit.
Limestone soft-wash

Limestone is soft — flat-out pressure carves grooves in it. It gets a wide soft-wash fan, more chemistry and more dwell time instead. Same honest meter.

Sealing after cleaning locks the result. Unsealed high-traffic concrete re-stains inside a year or two; sealed, you're hosing it off. We'll show you the water-bead test.

Water, honestly
A surface cleaner uses a fraction of what an open wand wastes, and the rinse water is directed to garden beds, not the storm drain, wherever the fall allows. The drain is the ocean's front door here.
Oil stains, honestly
Fresh oil lifts. A five-year diesel shadow is in the concrete — we'll degrease and improve it, and tell you honestly what will remain before we start, not after.
Bore stains, honestly
Orange bore stain is iron, not dirt — it needs its own chemistry, quoted on sight, and it comes back unless the retic edge is adjusted. We'll say so, and show you where the spray is landing.

How much does it cost to clean a driveway?
Plain concrete and exposed aggregate clean at $4.50/m², with a $180 minimum call-out — so a typical 60 m² double driveway is $270. Pavers run $8/m² (minimum $320) because of the re-sand, and limestone soft-washes at $6/m² (minimum $240). What moves the price is area and surface, not haggling — the Clean Reveal above uses the exact same meter we do.
Will pressure cleaning damage my surface?
Not if the pressure matches the surface. Concrete and aggregate take a proper surface cleaner happily. Limestone is soft — flat-out pressure carves grooves in it, so it gets a wide soft-wash fan, more chemistry and more dwell time instead. If a wand shouldn't touch something, we'll say so before the water goes on.
Why do pavers need re-sanding after cleaning?
The wash empties the sand out of the joints — that sand is what locks the pavers against each other. Skip the re-sand and the pavers start to walk, rock and chip within months. That's why paver cleaning is priced as one job, wash and re-sand together: doing half of it isn't a discount, it's a defect.
Should I get my concrete sealed?
Honest answer: it depends on traffic and stains. A sealed surface sheds oil, tannin and bore stain instead of drinking them — high-traffic driveways and alfresco areas usually repay the $7/m² inside a couple of years. A quiet side path may not. We'll show you the water-bead test on your own slab and let the slab argue for itself.
What happens to the dirty water?
Wherever the fall allows, rinse water is directed to garden beds and lawn, not the storm drain — the drain is the ocean's front door here. For strata and commercial sites with drain-only falls, we capture and coarse-filter before anything leaves the site, and note it on the job sheet.
How long does a clean stay clean?
Honestly: one to three years, set by traffic and trees. Sealed surfaces last longest; south-side moss returns first because it never gets the sun. If your driveway sits under a peppermint tree or a bore sprinkler, we'll tell you what to expect for your slab, not the average one.
