Walls & prices
Every rate is per square metre of wall face — length times height — and every wall includes the footing, the base and the drainage. Steps, returns and curves are measured on site.
Reconstituted limestone blocks laid in running bond on a compacted base — the standard for new-block levelling in Alkimos, Brabham and Landsdale. Clean face, square corners, easy to render or leave raw.
Quarried Tamala limestone, cut and coursed by hand — the wall the neighbours ask about. Heavier, slower, and worth it on a front boundary or a pool surround where the stone is the finish.
Smooth or sandstone-face concrete sleepers dropped between galvanised steel posts concreted into the ground. The fastest, sharpest-priced wall for a side boundary or a driveway cut.
Most Perth councils need a building permit for any wall over 500 mm. We have the wall designed, certified and lodged with your council before a block goes down — you sign, we chase.
1.8 m Colorbond panels on posts set into the wall while we build it — one crew, one visit, one straight line along the boundary. Priced per lineal metre of wall.
Stairs through the wall, corner returns, radius walls and anything over 1.5 m all change the footing and the drawing — we measure them on site and quote from the engineer's design.
Every wall type includes excavation to footing depth, a compacted base, 100 mm slotted ag-line to stormwater and blue-metal drainage behind the face. Removal of an existing timber wall is $45 per lineal metre.

Where we work
We run north up the coast to Two Rocks and east through the Swan Valley to the hills foot — the two corridors where the new blocks are being cut and the old pine walls are giving up. Anywhere else in the metro is a phone call.
Questions we get on every block
Honestly, usually — most Perth councils require a building permit for any wall over 500 mm, and some ask for engineering on lower walls near a boundary or a pool. We have the wall designed and certified by a structural engineer and lodge the permit with your council; that's the $650 line in the planner, and it's locked on above 500 mm because it isn't optional.
Blocks are the all-rounder: clean, square, cost-effective, easy to render later. Natural-cut Tamala is the premium finish — heavier stone, hand-coursed, slower to lay, and it's the wall people notice. Concrete sleepers on steel posts are the fastest and cheapest per square metre and take a lot of load, but the posts and joints are part of the look. Where you'll see the wall every day, spend on the face; where it's a side boundary doing a job, sleepers are the honest choice.
A typical 12 m wall is two to three days on site once the footing has cured — day one is excavation, base and footing, then the courses, drainage and backfill. Natural-cut adds roughly a day; sleeper walls are usually quicker. Permit lodgement runs ahead of that and depends on the council's queue, which we'll tell you at the measure.
Every wall we build has a 100 mm slotted ag-line at the base and a column of blue metal behind the face, wrapped and run to stormwater or a soak. Water is what moves walls; the drainage is included in every price on this page, not an extra.
Usually the block that needs the fill held — the higher side — but it depends on your subdivision plan and any notifications on your title. Check the plan first and talk to the neighbour before the measure; if you both want the wall and a fence on top, we'll quote it as one job and you can split it however you agree.
