Word of mouth

Three jobs, told straight

"First summer in this house we've had the front door open after dark. The stainless mesh honestly disappears — you're looking at the street, not at bars."

Karen & Dave M — Duncraig, hinged door + 5 windows

"Whole rental done in a morning — two doors, six windows, all keyed alike. One invoice, photos for the property manager, tenants happy. Easiest compliance job I've booked."

Sam T — landlord, Nollamara

"The pet door built into the security door ended three years of scratched flywire. The flap's rated like the door — the dog uses it, the burglars don't."

Priya N — Bassendean, hinged door with pet flap

Questions we get every week

What's the actual difference between the three meshes?

Diamond grille is the budget option — an aluminium lattice that reads as bars, strong and honest at the price. Perforated aluminium is a sheet with fine holes: better looks, good airflow, mid price. 316 stainless is the marine-grade woven mesh — the knife-and-crowbar one — and it's nearly invisible from a couple of metres. All three go through the same frames and locks.

Will it rust near the coast?

316 stainless is the coastal pick — it's the marine grade for a reason. On every job we isolate dissimilar metals (stainless mesh never touches bare aluminium frame) so you don't get galvanic corrosion eating the screen from the inside. A fresh-water rinse a few times a year keeps salt film off.

How long from measure to fit?

About ten days from our Malaga workshop. We measure, manufacture and powder-coat here, then the same crew comes back to install — no subcontracted fitters, no six-week freight wait.

Can you match my window frame colour?

Yes — frames are powder-coated and colour-matched to your existing windows from the standard powder ranges. Bring a photo to the measure or we'll match it on site.

Are they actually security-rated?

Our doors are made to AS 5039 (the Australian Standard for security screen doors) and installed to AS 5040. That's the honest line in this trade: flyscreens aren't security screens, whatever the brochure says. If a product hasn't passed the knife-shear and jemmy tests, it's an insect screen.

What about French doors, oversize windows or patio enclosures?

We do them — they're just not priced off a chart. Oversize openings, French door pairs, full patio enclosures and retrofit flyscreens are quoted on the measure, because hinging, spans and mesh panels vary too much to guess honestly from here.
