Granite forgives — the workhorse. Heat, knives and teenagers; it takes the decade personally and wins.

Your configuration pre-fills the viewing form — we bring the maths, you pick the slab.

Book this benchtop

We don't fabricate engineered stone. Nobody in Australia legally can.

It's been banned nationwide since July 2024, because cutting it was killing the people who cut it. That's the whole story, plainly told. Granite, porcelain and natural marble do the job it did, honestly — and if you're living with a banned-era top, we'll swap it and dispose of the old one as silica waste, documented.

What we cut, and what it costs

Per linear metre at 20 mm and 600 mm depth, templated + fabricated + installed. The studio above shows the working.

Granite benchtops

from $850/lm

The workhorse. Heatproof, scratch-shy, and every slab is a one-off. Sealed on install, resealed in minutes years later.

Porcelain benchtops

from $1,100/lm

Shrugs off heat, UV and red wine alike. Large-format, printed through with a consistent face — the tidy choice.

Marble benchtops

from $1,500/lm

Marble keeps a diary — lemon juice and red wine write in it. If you love patina, nothing else comes close. We'll say all this before you fall in love.

Vanity tops

from $2,200

Small runs and vanities carry our minimum job — templating, cutting and installing a 1.2 m top takes the same care as a kitchen.

Waterfall ends

+$750 each

The top folds to the floor, mitred so the face runs through the corner. On natural stone we chase the vein through the fold.

Engineered-stone replacements

at the per-lm rates above

Your banned-era top swapped for the honest equivalent — same meters as new work, old top removed and disposed of as silica waste, documented.

The things we say before we cut

Stone punishes guesswork. These are the conversations we have up front, so nothing surprises you at install.

Template honesty

We template after cabinets are in and level — a template off drawings is a guess with consequences. Allow 5–7 working days from template to install.

Seam honesty

Runs over 3 m get a join. We'll show you where it lands before we cut, not after — and on veined stone, we place it where the pattern hides it.

Overhang honesty

Past 300 mm unsupported, stone wants brackets. We'll say so at template, because a cracked island is nobody's discount.

What the kitchens say

Demonstration reviews, written for this demo — on a real site these would be your customers, fed live from your review platform.

★★★★★

"The vein runs through the waterfall like the slab was born for it. They laid the template on the stone with us standing there and moved it twice until it did that."

Kitchen renovation — Applecross
★★★★★

"I book the template the day the cabinets land, because they actually turn up. Six kitchens this year, six install dates hit."

Builder — Cockburn Central
★★★★★

"Our old engineered top left in bags, labelled, like they said it would. The granite that replaced it makes the old one look like a photocopy."

Benchtop replacement — Willetton

O'Connor shed, metro-wide install

The shed and the slab rack live in O'Connor — south of the river is home turf, but the truck templates and installs across the Perth metro. If your suburb isn't listed, call — the answer is usually yes.

Questions we get at the slab rack

How much is a stone benchtop?
Honest maths: granite from $850, porcelain from $1,100 and natural marble from $1,500 per linear metre at 20 mm and 600 mm depth — templated, fabricated and installed. Waterfall ends add $750 each; sink, cooktop and drainer-groove cutouts add $180, $160 and $220. Our minimum job is $2,200, which is where vanity tops start. What moves the number most: the stone you fall for, the metres, and waterfall ends.
What happened to engineered stone?
Australia banned the manufacture, supply and installation of engineered stone benchtops from July 2024, because cutting it exposed workers to dangerous silica dust. No fabricator in the country can legally supply it. Granite, porcelain and natural marble do the job it did — and if you have a banned-era top, we replace it and dispose of the old one as documented silica waste.
Granite vs porcelain vs marble?
Granite forgives — heat, knives, decades. Porcelain shrugs off heat and UV and keeps a consistent printed face. Marble keeps a diary — lemon juice and red wine leave their mark in it, which is either the whole point or a dealbreaker; we'll help you work out which you are before you commit.
How long does it take?
Viewing to install, the sequence is: pick your slab at the rack, we template after your cabinets are in and level, then allow 5–7 working days from template to install. The template date is the one to protect — we book it the day your cabinets land.
Can you match my old benchtop?
Mostly. Natural stone never repeats — no two slabs are the same, which is the charm and the catch. We'll find the slab that rhymes with what you have, and you approve the slab at the rack, not a 100 mm sample. Porcelain, being printed, matches far closer if an exact match matters more than character.
Do you do just the top swap?
Yes — replacement tops on existing cabinets are half our work, and banned-era engineered tops most of that. Same per-metre rates as new work. We check the cabinets are still level before templating, remove the old top, and dispose of engineered stone as silica waste with the paperwork to show it.
