Mobile breakdown callout

From$190 + $145/hour
Truck & trailer workshop · Kewdale
Servicing, brakes, inspections and breakdowns on rigids, prime movers and trailers — in our four bays, or beside your truck anywhere from Malaga to Kwinana.
Published, because a fleet controller ringing four workshops should not have to ask four times. Parts on top at cost plus our margin, itemised on the job card.

A mobile callout of 2.5 hours on site is $552.50 in labour and travel, parts on top. And the inspection line above is our check, not a government one: a Department of Transport inspection in Western Australia is carried out by an Authorised Inspection Station — a business the department has authorised to inspect vehicles — and you book and pay that one directly with them. We do not print their fee here, because it is not ours to set.
Our customers’ metro numbers, not a survey. Change it to yours.
Our invoice Revenue you don’t earn All three drawn to one scale — the longest bar sets it.
Left to break on its own, that is $5,075 of revenue gone — $4,895 more than the after-hours surcharge you would have paid to have us do it overnight.
The overnight bay costs $180 more on our invoice. Take it anyway — half a day of a prime mover is $725, so you keep $545 and the truck loads on time.
The breakdown bar is revenue only. The repair sits on top of it and we will not invent a figure for a fault we have not seen — that number arrives on the job card, after we look.
No portal, no ticket number, no callback window that spans the working day. Four steps, and you know where you stand at the end of the first one.
Between 5am and 7pm, seven days, the phone is picked up in the office or in a ute. Nobody in your job has time to leave a message.
What is it, where is it, and is it loaded. That is usually enough to say whether this is a ute to you or a truck to us — and we say which on the call.
A ute leaves with an arrival time, or a bay is booked with a date. If we cannot get to it today we tell you on the call so you can ring somebody who can.
Parts, hours, what we found and photographs of it, emailed as a PDF. It is written so it stands up when somebody audits your maintenance records.
“Air leak on a B-double at 4am with a Kalgoorlie run booked. Ute was beside us before six, we rolled out at half seven. They rang me at nine to say what they had actually replaced.”Fleet controller · general freight, Welshpool
“I own the one truck, so a day in a workshop is a day I do not get paid. They put me in the overnight slot, charged me the after-hours money, and I did not miss a load.”Owner-driver · tipper work, Forrestfield
“We send them fourteen trailers a year for service and inspection. Prices are the ones on their website, and the job cards are the only ones I do not have to chase.”Yard manager · trailer hire, Canning Vale
These reviews are written as demonstration copy for a fictional workshop. They are not real customer feedback and they are not published as review data anywhere.
Base is Kewdale, which puts most of Perth’s freight and industrial suburbs inside a short run. Outside the metro we will still come, but you get told the travel before we leave, not after.
Usually, and we will tell you the travel time and what the run adds before a ute leaves the yard — not after it arrives. Past about two hours out it is often faster and cheaper for you if we talk to a workshop near the truck and send them the part. We will make that call with you rather than for you.
Scheduled work generally goes in within the week and often the next morning. A truck that is stopped gets triaged the same day: either a ute goes out to it, or we clear a bay. The overnight slot is one truck a night and it books out first, so ring for it early in the week.
Filters, brake linings, air fittings, hose, globes and common suspension bushes are, for the makes that run in this yard. Anything electronic or model-specific is ordered, and we tell you on the call whether it is a same-day part or a next-day one. If a part is the reason your truck sits for another day, you will hear it from us first.
The vehicle, the date, the odometer, what you asked us to look at, what we found, every part number and price, the hours by technician, and photographs of anything we replaced or condemned. It arrives as a PDF the same day, and it is laid out so it drops straight into a maintenance file that somebody else may later have to read.
Yes — drop it and go. Trailer service and check is priced per trailer, and a yard sending several gets them done in one run rather than one at a time. Brakes, bushes, suspension, lights, coupling and tyres, with the same job card.
The workshop number diverts to whoever is on call. If it is safe to leave until morning we will say so rather than charge you for a night callout you do not need. If it is not, a ute goes. The overnight bay is a different thing again: that is planned work done while you sleep, booked ahead, at the after-hours rate.
If the truck is stopped right now, ring — it is faster and you will get a person. Use this for scheduled work, trailers, and anything that can wait until the morning.
On a real build this lands in the workshop inbox and on both utes’ phones, and somebody rings you back on the number you left — inside the hour, between 5am and 7pm.
This is a demonstration page for a fictional workshop, so nothing left your browser. On the live version this is where the booking confirmation and the bay time would appear.
