Word of mouth

The jobs people talk about.

"Every winter the balcony rained into the lounge room. Drysline stripped it, re-screeded the falls and flood-tested the new membrane for a day before a tile went back. First August in six years with dry cornices."

Karen M.Applecross — balcony strip-out & membrane

"Two ensuites membraned Tuesday, certificates and photos in my inbox Wednesday night, tiler started Thursday like the program said. That certificate kept the whole schedule honest."

Sam T.O'Connor — builder, two ensuites

"We renovated the whole house in 2019. The kitchen's dated already, but the shower Drysline re-sealed hasn't moved a millimetre. Quiet work, one certificate, never thought about it again."

Priya N.Willagee — shower recess re-seal

Straight answers

What people ask before they book.

What does AS 3740 actually require?

AS 3740 is the Australian Standard for waterproofing domestic wet areas. In practice it means the whole shower floor is membraned, shower walls are waterproofed to at least 1,800 mm, wall–floor junctions get bond-breakers so the membrane can flex without tearing, and falls drain to the waste. We install to it on every job and hand you the certificate that says so.

How long before the tiler can start?

Honestly: 24–48 hours per coat, depending on the weather and the membrane system. Two coats is typical, so allow two to three days from our first coat to tiles. We sequence around your tiler's booking — tell us the date and we work backwards from it.

Can you fix a leak without pulling tiles up?

Sometimes — it depends where it's failing. A perished silicone joint or a leaking shower screen channel can often be resealed in place. If the membrane itself has failed, anything short of stripping and re-membraning is borrowed time, and we'll tell you straight rather than sell you a $300 band-aid. That's what the leak investigation ($260 callout) is for.

What does the 24 hr flood test prove?

We bund the area, fill it above the membrane line and hold it for 24 hours, checking below and beside for any moisture movement. It's the difference between "the membrane looks right" and "the membrane held water for a day, certified in writing" — builders and strata companies file the result.

What does the 10-year warranty cover?

Our workmanship — surface prep, fillets, coverage thickness, turn-ups, falls — for ten years, in writing. The membrane product itself carries the manufacturer's own warranty on top, and we hand over the data sheets so you know exactly what's under your tiles.

Name the wet area. We'll seal it.

The estimator's numbers carry straight into this form — send it through and we'd confirm the price and lock in a date before the tiler needs to know.
