Word of mouth

What the last few weeks looked like

★★★★★

“Ute side window smashed overnight in Kwinana. Booked at 7am, they came to the work carpark, vacuumed the glass out of the door and the seat and had new glass in by smoko. Didn't lose a day.”

Dean · Kwinana Beach · side window
★★★★★

“Stone chip on the Ranger on Tuesday, a crack across the passenger side by Wednesday morning. Replaced in the driveway by lunch, camera recalibrated, cured by two. Straight back to school pick-up.”

Priya · Ellenbrook · windscreen + ADAS
★★★★★

“The dealer quoted nearly double for the recalibration alone. Clearline did the glass and the camera at my office in Osborne Park, gave me the calibration certificate, and the lane-keep works exactly as it did.”

Where we go

Malaga out, the whole metro

The vans start in Malaga and run north to Yanchep, south to Mandurah and east to the hills — the same price anywhere inside the metro radius. We need a level spot with some shade, so a driveway, a work carpark or a shopping-centre bay all work. Outside metro we'll quote the trip.

Questions we get on the phone

Repair or replace, and what happens on the day

Repair or replace — how do you decide?

A chip smaller than a 20-cent coin and out of the driver's line of sight repairs well and holds for the life of the glass. Anything longer than a credit card, or in the area the wipers sweep in front of the driver, replaces — a repair there leaves a mark you'd look through every day. Send us a photo with a coin next to it and we'll tell you straight.

How long does it take?

A chip repair is about 30 minutes and you can drive straight away. A replacement is about 90 minutes plus a one-hour cure before you drive, so allow two and a half hours; recalibration adds about 45 minutes on top.

Do I need the camera recalibrated?

If your car has a camera behind the mirror — lane-keep assist, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise — then yes, after any windscreen replacement. The camera looks through the glass, and a new screen sits a fraction differently. A chip repair doesn't disturb it. We recalibrate in-house on the day and give you the certificate.

Is it covered by insurance?

Most comprehensive policies cover glass — you pay the excess your policy sets and we bill the insurer the rest. Some policies waive the excess for a chip repair, which is another reason to fix chips early. We lodge the claim for you; have your policy number handy when you call.

Can you come to my work?

Yes — anywhere in Perth metro at the same price. We need a level spot with some shade or cover so the urethane cures evenly: a driveway, a work carpark, an underground bay all work. Outside metro we quote the trip.
